Two for Joy.
Through a multi-disciplinary installation practice, this examines how we inhabit spaces, questioning our relationships with these and how they reflect the life held within. Grace uses photography, sculpture, and craft media to create a multi-dimensional series exploring her Nana’s home after being unused for over a year. Through this, ‘Two for Joy’ contemplates how memories can be held within a space, reflecting on thoughts of the home and familial relationships. Through layering and composing these motifs with traditional aspects of the home - which are associated with memories such as photo frames - a personal representation of the home is created for the viewer to experience and explore. This series of work culminated with Grace's undergraduate degree show installation, which ran from 2nd-24th June 2021, both online and in person at York St John University.
